Some Newcastle United fans are still feeling positive about the prospective takeover at St. James’ Park after Mark Douglas provided an update on his official Twitter page.
The journalist assured members of the Toon faithful that the buying side are still positive. The Saudi-led consortium, backed by the country’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), businesswoman Amanda Staveley and the billionaire Reuben brothers, all apparently remain confident that a deal can be agreed.

However, Douglas added that nobody knows exactly what is going on in the process with the Premier League regarding owners’ and directors’ tests as well as further checks into the proposed piracy issues with the Saudis.
The writer claimed that there was always going to be a lot of noise, but he still believes, as he has done throughout, that the bid will pass the necessary checks.

In a time of uncertainty for Magpies, Douglas perhaps provided some needed positivity, which has reflected upon these NUFC supporters:

Just be patient only those ITK @ PL will know where the O&D tests are. We all want it done and after 13 years a little wait will be worth it
