Lots of Newcastle United fans have been hailing an update on the prospective takeover in the North East from Paul Smith as the Saudi-led consortium have outlined plans for their supporters.
As per the journalist, it is a priority for them to build bridges with disillusioned supporters, and have already consulted a major PR firm to commission a structure to engage with members of the Toon faithful and adopt a more open transparency policy.

This will come as music to the ears of several Magpies, who have not always endured the best of relationships with their current owner Mike Ashley. If the consortium do take over from the CEO of Sports Direct at St. James’ Park, then they would hope to build a new and fresh relationship with fans of the Tyneside club.
The would-be owners could mark the potential new era by bringing in a statement signing or two in the upcoming summer transfer window, which would surely please the majority of NUFC supporters.

These fans hailed the update from Smith:
This is the kinda thing the fans want to hear. Not silly rumours about Bale & Coutinho etc.
New infrastructure, new lines of communication etc the rebirth of #NUFC
