Plenty of Newcastle United fans are lauding RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann after he was revealed to be on the managerial shortlist at St. James’ Park by Guillem Balague.
As per the Spanish journalist’s YouTube channel (via ChronicleLive), Balague revealed that Mauricio Pochettino, Rafa Benitez and Max Allegri are also contenders to take over from Steve Bruce at the Tyneside club, should the proposed takeover go through.

Nevertheless, it was Nagelsmann that caught the eye of many members of the Toon faithful. Indeed, the 32-year old is an exciting managerial prospect, especially with what he has achieved in Germany so far.
Nagelsmann is currently the Leipzig boss and has managed 36 of their games, with the team winning 21 of those, drawing 10 and losing just five, scoring 86 goals and conceding 40, according to Transfermarkt.
With the names shortlisted alongside him, it is perhaps a high accolade that so many Magpies would like him to take charge in the North East next season if the takeover is successful.
