Now, Steve Bruce’s side are linked with a £10.5 million move (per Sky Sports) for Strasbourg defensive midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko, with the Frenchman’s stats indicating that of a fine passing midfielder – but holding next to nothing in attacking threat.
Sissoko has accumulated an impressive 84.5% pass success rate this season, with his goals and assists nothing to speak about, according to WhoScored.com.
As a result, supporters have laughed off the interest, claiming another defensive midfield player shouldn’t exactly be high on the agenda.
