In English football, St. James’ Park is renowned for being a difficult ground to play at for opposition teams.
Even in bad periods, like during this season, it remains a stadium where Newcastle are able to pull of wins no one would have seen coming.
Rafael Benitez’s side, of course, recently beat Premier League champions Manchester City 2-1, while at the end of the last campaign they were on the right end of a 3-0 scoreline against Chelsea on a day where the atmosphere was fantastic.
Since then, a poll carried out by bet365 has seen St. James’ Park voted as the Premier League ground with the best atmosphere overall with the home of Newcastle coming out on top against the likes of Anfield and Selhurst Park.
Meanwhile, the London trio of Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham all saw their home atmospheres ranked in the bottom three.
You can have a look at what Newcastle supporters have had to say on the poll result below…

Generally no. The lower levels apart from Gallowgate corner are rarely lively, The upper level mainly quiet until the corner and away fans ( depending on who the away team is)
