Newcastle United: Fans pay tribute to Jamaal Lascelles following injury update

After suffering a knee injury during Newcastle’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend, Jamaal Lascelles has been told that he may not be back in action again for the Magpies until after the New Year, prompting supporters to give their support to the defender.

The Englishman was shining in a stacked Newcastle back five which stayed fairly resolute in their recent back-to-back victories, partnering the likes of Ciaran Clark and Federico Fernandez who found the net against West Ham and the Cherries.

Indeed, the defensive part of the squad is probably least in need of backup, with their forward line so far failing to live up to expectations.

However, after the news was announced that Lascelles would be unable to participate for some time, supporters have been condoling the centre-back whilst at the same time hoping that their resolute defence can stay solid amid a tough run of fixtures.
