Plenty of Newcastle United fans are raging as the prospective takeover at St. James’ Park has been further delayed by new legal documents that have been passed on to the Premier League.
As per The Guardian, lawyers from the top flight are understood to be reviewing information which is said to establish a firm link between the Saudi government and a homegrown pirate television and streaming service which offers illegal access to sporting events, including English football, on the BeoutQ platform.

The new evidence means that any decision to approve the takeover in the North East by the consortium involving Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), Reuben Brothers and Amanda Staveley, which had been expected within days, could now be pushed back.
England’s highest division will scrutinise the information to see whether it further calls into question whether the Saudi-led group passes its owners’ and directors’ test, which states that digital piracy is prohibited.
