Loads of Newcastle United fans have reacted to a takeover warning from Amnesty International as they wrote to the Premier League about their concerns of Saudi Arabia’s human rights record.
As per ChronicleLive, the top flight must decide whether the new owners meet their criteria in their owners and directors test, and Amnesty insists that unless the Premier League provides thorough justification for its decision to approve the takeover, the competition may risk damaging its own reputation.

A letter from Amnesty UK director Kate Allen to the Premier League’s chief executive Richard Masters discussed whether the top flight would cover up the human rights record if it continued to be unaddressed.
As per the article, Saudi Arabia has been heavily criticised for this record, as Amnesty have pointed out the imprisonment and torture of government critics and the execution of others following unfair trials.
