Loads of Newcastle United fans have reacted as the odds on Mauricio Pochettino becoming the Tyneside club’s next boss have tumbled.
As per ChronicleLive, the former Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur manager has been cut to second-favourite to take over at St. James’ Park.
Bookies have now cut odds from 14/1 into as short as 3/1 for the Argentine coach to take over from Steve Bruce at the Toon. This means that the 48-year old only trails favourite Rafa Benitez in the market, with the Spaniard priced as the 7/2 leader. However, Benitez actually trails Pochettino in terms of the most popular punt, with ‘Poch’ the most backed in the market.

Bookmakers have also released odds on whether Steve Bruce will be in the hot-seat at the start of next season and it is not looking good for the 59-year-old. Paddy Power currently make it 2/7 odds-on that Bruce is not in charge for the first day of the 2020/21 campaign. On the flip side, it’s 5/2 against that the ex-Manchester United central defender is in charge of the Magpies when next term kicks off.

I would not mind him coming to the toon as he could help the team and he knows people and could bring them to Newcastle if the money and deal is right#nufc #NUFCTakeover #football #TAKEOVER #newcastleunited #newcastle

And in all honesty a young manage is always second to an experienced manager like Allegri, Benitez, Keegan, and Pochettino
