Loads of Newcastle United fans have reacted to a claim from French government officials to stop the Premier League restarting after it was reported by Le Parisien.
As per the article, the French Prime Minister ended the current Ligue 1 season, with other countries expected to vote on their league’s fates in the coming days.
The President of the French Republic wants other countries to follow suit, including England and the Premier League, to stop the campaign indefinitely. Germany, Italy and Spain have also been urged to cancel their respective domestic leagues.

Indeed, a decision has not yet been made by the Premier League on whether they will cancel the rest of the term, but the pressure of cancellation from other major European leagues in the current climate may persuade them to.
Nevertheless, although everyone’s health remains the top priority, some members of the Toon faithful will perhaps want to see their team play again this season.
