Loads of Newcastle United fans have reacted to the latest takeover report after the Daily Mail have apparently been told that a deal worth £350 million in total has been placed on the table.
As per the article, the Tyneside club would receive a £200 million payment up front with a further £150 million over a period of five years. This is according to documents that have been lodged by Companies House, run by businesswoman Amanda Staveley. The Mail adds that £15o million could be given by Mike Ashley to Staveley’s company PCP Capital Partners.
As per the report, the documents could possibly be seen as evidence that talks are in an advanced stage, but a potential takeover has yet to be agreed.
Whether this deal goes through is all speculation at this stage, but it has certainly stirred up talk within members of the Toon faithful.
