Lots of Newcastle fans have been reacting to the latest on their interest in Ademola Lookman, as Sky Sports’ Keith Downie delivered an update on Wednesday.
According to Downie’s report, the Magpies have held preliminary discussions with Red Bull Leipzig over the winger.
He claims the player does want to leave the Bundesliga leaders despite their impressive season so far, perhaps not surprising given that he has started just one top-flight fixture.
The talks are thought to be over a loan deal with an option to buy, after Lookman joined Leipzig for £22.5m from Everton this summer.

Despite little success so far this campaign, he had shone in Germany in the 2017-18 season when he spent six months on loan at Leipzig, scoring five times and providing three assists in just 11 appearances.
He averaged 1.2 shots, 1.5 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per game in that campaign, so could add an extra spark to a Magpies attack set to be boosted by the return of Allan Saint-Maximin.
