Many Newcastle United fans have reacted to the news that Mike Ashley is understood to be resigned to the fact that his tenure of 13 years at St. James’ Park will soon be over.
As per ChronicleLive, the CEO of Sports Direct has not commented publicly on the situation in the North East and has not offered any reassurances to Magpies staff on the future either.

The members of staff have been left in the dark on what happens next, although sources at the Tyneside club say that they are braced for change.
Ashley is believed to still be in the United States of America, where he has remained since lockdown started, but is waiting for confirmation of the club’s £300 million transfer to the Middle East consortium.
The Saudi-led group is made up of the country’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, businesswoman Amanda Staveley and the billionaire Reuben brothers, all of whom are due to part-own the Toon once Ashley departs.
