Many Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a claim on the prospective takeover in the North East from Jason Burt as his latest article for The Daily Telegraph was shared on the Twitter page of NUFC 360.
As per his report, the journalist claims that the proposed deal between Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-led consortium and current owner Mike Ashley has been drawn out and it is cruel on the Tyneside club’s supporters.

The billionaire Reuben Brothers are also part of the buying side alongside the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) and will have seen their sporting franchise in Newcastle in action on Monday, but Burt writes about how they must have wished it was not just the racecourse they can say is theirs.
Just six miles separate the finishing post of Gosforth Park and the goalposts at St James’ Park, with the Reubens part of the would-be ownership still waiting to see whether the £300 million bid to buy out Ashley has been approved.
These Magpies reacted to the claim, as some seemed to blame the Premier League for the draw out. It is easy to see why they are fed up as they have certainly been waiting a while, given the first reports of the takeover emerged way back in late-March (Telegraph).

It would appear they don’t want any part of this Takeover and would love either the PIF to walk away or the Government to back them publicly on a rejection, Unclear if the piracy is a real thing or just a plant from BEIN who are obviously close to PL officials through the TV deal

Fed up with the whole saga! Seems if it was any other club there would be no issue

Just a matter of time before PiF walk away from negotiations.

Its not just that supporters want this to happen and Ashley gone, #NUFC itself is almost in a state of limbo until this is resolved (one way or another). Current owner appears to have given up, and the prospective owners can’t do anything until approved by the @premierleague

If it had been Man Utd or Arsenal it would of been approved within hours never mind months
