Newcastle United: Fans slam ‘rubbish’ Jack Colback as Nottingham Forest supporters want him back

Many Newcastle United fans have slammed Jack Colback after a report from NottinghamshireLive suggested that Nottingham Forest supporters would love to see him back playing for their club.

As per the article, the debate was prompted after  Jonjo Shelvey revealed that the former Sunderland man actually moved to Nottingham when he signed on loan and commutes back to the Tyneside club for training.

That is despite Colback being nowhere near the first-team at St James’ Park, as the 30-year-old made daily train trip back to his native north-east every morning. Indeed, Colback’s last appearance in black and white stripes came back in the 2016/17 season, according to Transfermarkt.

However, he is out of contract in the summer and became a firm favourite at the City Ground (via NottinghamshireLive). The Englishman has played in 55 games for Forest in all competitions, scoring four times and providing two assists (per Transfermarkt).

It seems these members of the Toon faithful would be happy for him to return to Nottingham, as they expressed their desire for the defensive midfielder to leave on Twitter, with one NUFC supporter labelling him as ‘rubbish’:
