Lots of Newcastle United fans have been slamming their former manager Steve McClaren after he opened up about his experience of managing the black-and-whites and working under Mike Ashley during a Facebook Live Q&A with Experience Epic Ltd (via ChronicleLive).
As per the outlet, the 59-year old claimed that you do not actually have a relationship with Ashley and that is how he wants it, adding that you have to respect how he runs his business and football club.

The former England coach also suggested that he could have been given more time to turn things around in the North East after his relatively abysmal record at the Tyneside club.
Indeed, McClaren only won seven of his 31 games in charge of the Magpies in the 2015/16 season, drawing six and losing 18, with his team scoring 32 goals and conceding 56, according to Transfermarkt.
NUFC were relegated from the Premier League in that campaign, and it seems as if several members of the Toon faithful have not forgotten that.
These supporters slammed the Englishman’s claims on Twitter, with one fan claiming that he is the ‘worst manager we’ve ever had’:
