Newcastle could do with some firepower up front, particularly now Allan Saint-Maximin is out for a month, and some fans believe they’ve found just the right man. Twitter account @NUFC360 believes Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen is a risk worth taking in January, and many fans agreed.
Bowen is 22 years old and is the second-top scorer in the Championship this season behind Aleksandar Mitrovic at Fulham, with the former on 14 and the latter on 16. He’s also bagged four assists in the league this season and has been his team’s standout performer according to WhoScored, with a club-high rating of 7.44/10 for his showings this term.
He’s been linked with Newcastle in the past, and the aforementioned tweet has reignited the flames of interest from the fans’ side of things, anyway. Many replied to the tweet in agreement that he could be the man to boost the Magpies into the top half of the table.
With Bruce’s ties to Hull, Jarrod Bowen’s contract running out in June 2020 and the lads age and amount of goals, surely he’s a risk worth taking now? He scores goals from all over. (See image) #NUFC pic.twitter.com/0ivUM5JJBc

Don’t see it as a risk one bit. Should be our absolute no.1 target.

Need some competition for Almiron on that side as well as a goalscorer to sure us up, not sure how well he does in our system but worth the punt, that and making Willems permanent, potentially a loan although perhaps a bit much, comes across as good business to me

Already signed. Done deal ✅

If we got him I’d genuinely drop Almiron and use him as rotation
