Some Newcastle United fans have disagreed with former Magpies skipper and Ireland international Mick Martin’s view that Mauricio Pochettino should be the Tyneside club’s next manager.
Speaking to the Daily Express, Martin explains his belief that Steve Bruce’s position may be vulnerable if the takeover is completed, despite the 68-year old stressing that the Geordie has done a great job for the Toon so far.

He adds that Pochettino is a man who knows big players, whether they would be from South America or Europe, and is a big name in the beautiful game.
Martin says that if you want to win trophies, which no doubt the potential new owners would like to bring to NUFC, then you need to look to tempt big players.
He summarises by claiming that his negative view on Mike Ashley has changed in recent years but thinks that it is the right time to sell if the investors have the money.
However, these supporters disagree with Martin’s choice, and would rather bring Rafa Benitez back, despite their ex-man insisting that he would not chase the Spaniard for the job. Check out the reaction on Twitter:

Id still go for Rafa. There is still a doubt over Poch for me. He’s always struggled against the top sides. The football may be better under Poch but i think we would be more successful under Rafa.
