Newcastle United: Lee Ryder takeover update has Magpies supporters fed up with constant reports

Writing in a piece for the Chronicle, journalist Lee Ryder detailed his latest knowledge surrounding the potential Newcastle United takeover and why Mike Ashley ‘returned to the front row‘ during the team’s dramatic 3-2 extra-time victory at Oxford United – but many supporters have been left frustrated by the update.

Ashley, who has been in talks with Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Arabian consortium over the last fortnight, returned to watch the Magpies last Tuesday in the executive area of the Kassam Stadium – with journalist Ryder detailing the fact that he hasn’t received a ‘concrete‘ offer for the club.

Despite a report from The Guardian detailing back in late January that a deal is ‘90%‘ completed, it appears talks have stalled since the negotiations were made public – with this latest update frustrating a lot of Newcastle fans who have just about had enough. Here’s what they had to say on Twitter regarding the news, including one fan theorising that talks have stopped due to Ashley’s annoyance with the publicity of it all.
