Mark Douglas has claimed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Public Investment Fund (PIF) will re-submit their takeover bid for Newcastle United if there is clear path made to it being done.
The Chronicle journalist tweeted ‘they’ll be back’ in reply to a fan with regards to PIF and their £300m deal with Mike Ashley, adding the legal pressure on the Premier League is always going to be the next stage following the disputes between the English top flight and the Tyneside club.

Douglas also said that the KSA consortium have been confident before, and so they may be confident again that they can resurrect the deal.
Willing buyer + willing seller = never really up for debate in the #nufctakeover. PIF been watching this from the start, and all other parties have publicly stated their commitment (& been strong on it in private).
Legal pressure on @premierleague always the next stage….

I've said it a few times. Wrote it yday as well: If they can see a clear path to it being done, they'll be back. Consortium have been confident before, of course.

Newcastle takeover background
The Tyneside club made an official statement just a few days ago that confirmed that they have issued arbitration proceedings against England’s highest division, and it goes on to say that it is unclear as to when those proceedings would be resolved, given the approach of the English top flight and indeed its lawyers.

The Saudis reportedly remain as determined as ever to get their takeover deal back on track, and it could be that a court case between the EPL and the Magpies may settle the legal dispute once and for all.
