According to a recent piece from the Daily Record, Newcastle United are among fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United and Everton currently in the hunt for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard – with the striker turning heads due to his prolific form north of the border.
Edouard, who has bagged 25 goals in all competitions this campaign for Scottish Premiership front-runners Celtic (Transfermarkt), and with his value currently estimated at £13.5 million, could be seen as a much-needed goalscoring target at a relatively cheap market price.

Newcastle United’s record signing Joelinton has failed to live up to his £40 million price tag so far at St James’ Park, scoring just one Premier League goal all season. Meanwhile, Edouard has been on the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of form – firing Celtic 12 points clear of Old Firm rivals Rangers at the top of the league. However, given that his return has come in a somewhat inferior division, many Magpies supporters have since become divided over the transfer link.
