Newcastle United: Simon Jordan’s takeover verdict on talkSPORT has supporters fuming

Speaking to talkSPORT via the Chronicle, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has had his say regarding Newcastle United’s reported takeover by Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his Saudi Arabian consortium – with some supporters lashing out over its relevance.

Jordan, who bought the majority shares in Palace back in early 2000, sold the club less than a decade later and is now a regular pundit on talkSPORT’s radio show – where he has gone on to have his say over Mike Ashley’s alleged label as an ‘unwilling seller‘.

The controversial Newcastle owner, who has reportedly been in talks with Prince Salman to sell the Magpies over this last fortnight (The Guardian), is guilty for apparently knocking back previous bids – with PCP Capital Partners’ Amanda Staveley failing to reach his valuation. However, according to Jordan, he doesn’t think ‘Ashley pulls out of deals‘ – instead hinting that an offer simply hasn’t been on the table.
