Newcastle United: Valentino Lazaro post has Magpies supporters flocking to support winger

In response Newcastle United loan signing Valentino Lazaro’s post on Twitter, many Magpies supporters have flocked to show support for the winger who was sent off against Crystal Palace last weekend, stating that he could ‘prosper‘ if he gives 100%.

Lazaro, who signed on loan until the end of the season from Inter Milan in the January transfer window, has so far failed to replicate his form for Hertha Berlin during 2018/19, with his red card against Palace meaning he will be unable to feature against Burnley on Saturday. The Austrian, who was brought in by manager Steve Bruce as a potential fix to the season-ending injuries to Paul Dummett and Jetro Willems, along with fellow loanee Danny Rose, has averaged fewer tackles than former right-back favourite Javier Manquillo (1.7), as per WhoScored, with Magpies supporters not exactly seeing what they may have expected from the 23-year-old so far. However, in response to Lazaro’s motivational tweet, many fans have displayed patience and understanding with the player.
