Newcastle would be mad not to look at signing these 2 relegation battlers this summer

Newcastle United fans here in the Tavern are pleased as their side heads into the international break, after securing a victory against relegation contenders Southampton last time out.

The Magpies are starting to take shape under Rafa Benitez after cruising to victory over the Saints in their last Premier League fixture, as Newcastle took a huge step towards survival. Indeed, Kenedy continues to work his magic at St James’ Park after joining on loan in the January transfer window, with two crucial goals against Southampton last time out.

However, Newcastle are going to need to look to the summer transfer window for another couple of quality additions, with their current squad struggling to come to terms with Premier League football. So, the Magpies could take a look at a couple of star players from teams battling relegation, as a number of their first-team members will be looking to make an escape.

Therefore, here’s a look at TWO relegation battlers that Newcastle United would be mad not to look at signing in the summer…

Nathan Redmond

Nathan Redmond has had a rough season with the Saints as he still goes on in search of his first Premier League goal, after failing to replicate the magic that was on show in the last campaign.

Although, there’s no doubt that the Englishman has the potential to be one of the most dangerous wingers in the top-flight, with tricks, dribbling and pace causing defenders all sorts of problems in years gone by.

Therefore, Newcastle United should make a move for the relegation battler in the summer to add strength out wide, after struggling for inspiration on the wing so far this season.

Salomon Rondon

Salomon Rondon has enjoyed a successful few seasons with the Baggies after joining from Zenit Saint Petersburg, with eight goals to his name in the current campaign as West Bromwich Albion’s joint-top scorer.

Indeed, the 28-year-old has caused some of the best defences all kinds of problems during his time in England, with brute strength, pace and deadly finishing making him a very dangerous player.

Therefore, Newcastle should look to iron over their current striker woes by bringing Rondon to the club in the summer, as a proven goalscorer in the Premier League that could have a huge impact in the next campaign.
