The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been watching the World Cup very carefully as they look for players that they’d love to see at The Emirates. Last night, they found a player in FC Porto’s Juan Quintero.
The 25-year-old was at the top of his game yesterday as he added another impressive performance to his portfolio, and the Arsenal fans will now be keen to see him play in Colombia’s final group game against Senegal on Friday. Quintero, alongside the likes of Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, lit up Group H as the South American’s romped to a 3-0 win over Poland in a game that saw a number of players really step up for their country.
Of those players, none put in a better performance than Quintero. The 25-year-old laid on a superb assist for Falcao as Colombia doubled their lead with 20 minutes left to play. The assist for the Porto man means he’s now contributed both one goal and one assist in the tournament after he scored Colombia’s consolation goal in the 2-1 defeat to Japan last Tuesday. If Arsenal did move for the creative midfielder he would definitely not break the bank, although they’d have to stave off interest from other clubs after his performances have caught the eye this summer.
