Leeds United have had some top-class goalkeepers down the years.
Paul Robinson made over 100 appearances for the Whites before moving on to Tottenham Hotspur and the England number on spot, whilst David Harvey spent 18 years at Elland Road across two spells, being present at the Yorkshire outfit during their most successful spell under Don Revie.
Nigel Martyn is another who has written himself into the club’s history. He made over 250 appearances at the club during a seven-year spell with the Whites, being an important member of the side as they reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2001.
Leeds’ official Twitter account decided to share an interview with the 53-year-old on the club’s page, with Martyn saying that he “loved every minute” of his time with the club. As you can imagine, the supporters are delighted with the tweet, with one fan naming the shot stopper a ‘Leeds legend‘.
