The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful that Jose Mourinho will end the season on a high. It hasn’t been the best campaign for the Red Devils, but a top-four finish and an FA Cup win could add a bit of gloss to the season.

Particularly in the case of the latter, though, that won’t be easy – and so Jose Mourinho needs to ensure that he picks the right team to play against Chelsea in a few weeks.

Further to that, Mourinho will also have to consider his team selection in the Premier League. With little to play for, but a cup clash to prepare for, it will be interesting to see who turns out for the Red Devils.

Despite the nature of their upcoming fixtures, Mourinho does need to insist on at least a modicum of consistency, and so there are a few players that should be keeping their places in the season for the rest of the campaign.

With that said, Mourinho must start these 2 Man Utd players for the rest of the season…

 Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has been involved in a lot of games this season, but his starts have reduced dramatically as the campaign has gone on.

In particular, the arrival of Alexis Sanchez has hurt him, and Mourinho must make that right between now and the end of the season.

If Rashford’s limited involvement continues, you wouldn’t be able to blame him if he decided to leave this summer.

He’d every bit as good as Sanchez – and Mourinho must not place name over talent.

 Ander Herrera

Ander Herrera has been a bit-part player at Old Trafford this season, but the Spaniard has really proven his worth in recent weeks.

Always fighting for the badge, Herrera provides something that Man Utd have lacked throughout the campaign – passion. You can tell by the way that he carries himself that he places the needs of the team above all else, and that could be crucial as Man Utd look to end the season strongly.

Inconsistent form has been a bit of a problem for him lately, but on his day, there is nobody better.
