Our Crystal Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see Sam Allardyce make good improvements in January and according to The Daily Mail – they may be about to get just that.
The Eagles have had a tough old year so far this season and are hovering precariously above the relegation zone.
The run of results that has seen them there has cost Alan Pardew his job but with Allardyce coming in, there’s renewed hope that they can stay up.
Certainly, Allardyce knows how to achieve just that and looks set to try and make Robbie Brady one of his first signings at the club with a reported £7 million bid being made.
The Irish international has impressed many with his performances for Norwich both in the Premier League last season, and in the Championship this time around.
And, with the Canaries struggling for form this season, he could be tempted to jump ship for another crack at the top flight with the Eagles.
Our landlord reckons it’d be a good signing, too, and suggests the club are going to spend money to get out of their predicament this month.
