The Verdict:

Kenyon’s reported continual interest in buying Newcastle will be encouraging, although fans will be wary of anything happening.
The club came under significant interest from a consortium backed by Amanda Staveley last winter but Mike Ashley became frustrated with how those talks went.
However, Kenyon’s decision to look at the American market could be good for Newcastle, as they may be willing to end their nightmare under their current owner.
