The Manchester City fans are in buoyant mood in the Transfer Tavern as they look forward to their weekend fixture with West Ham…
The resident Citizens propping up the bar in the Tavern have been absolutely blown away by their side’s opening to the season. City’s formidable form has seen them storm ahead at the top of the Premier League and open up an eight-point gap over their bitter rivals Manchester United. The next few weeks will provide City with a true test of their title credentials as the Manchester clubs are set to lock horns on December 10.
Next up for City is a home fixture against West Ham, who are struggling to find form under former Red Devils manager David Moyes since he replaced Slaven Bilic during the November international break, and Guardiola will be certainly be hoping his City slickers can inflict more misery upon the hapless Hammers on Sunday afternoon.
The club were given a further boost ahead of Sunday’s clash yesterday, after the club’s official Twitter page confirmed that David Silva has signed a new contract with the club that will keep him in Manchester until 2020.

Merlin, as he is affectionately known, has firmly established himself as one of City’s most valuable players and a true fan-favourite since he arrived from Valencia in 2010.
And the City fans were clearly delighted to see their hero commit to his long-term future in Manchester.
