Plenty of Aston Villa fans want Ørjan Nyland gone for good

Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to berate their goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland after his performance against Nottingham Forest. 

The Norway international let in all five of Forest’s shots on target in a pulsating 5-5 draw at Villa Park. However, it was the manner of some of the goals that he let in which has infuriated fans the most.

It can be argued that the 28-year-old should have done more for Joe Lolley’s long shot, Forest’s fourth, which sailed past the goalkeeper. However, it was the final goal of the match from Lewis Grabban which has caused outrage amongst fans, as the ‘keeper was beaten at his front post from the striker’s shot. This is simply inexcusable to the fans, and is another addition to the catalogue of errors that the 27 cap international has made this season.

Plenty of fans are calling for the player to never play for Villa again, with Mark Bunn deputising until the club find a replacement in January.
