Pochettino should drop these 2 Tottenham players against Liverpool – agreed?

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are still celebrating their side’s fantastic performance in Spain on Tuesday night. Though most expected the Lilywhites to struggle, Tottenham really took it to their opponents, and they were very good value for their drawn at the Bernebau.

Unfortunately, though, the time for celebration is now over and it’s on to the next one for Mauricio Pochettino. The Premier League is going well for Tottenham so far this term, and they’ll want to continue their fine run against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Reds too enjoyed a good display in the Champions League during the week, and so a win is far from a foregone conclusion when the two sides face off. For Mauricio Pochettino, though, if he gets his tactics spot on and his team selection right then his side will be in a very good position to secure a win.

It won’t be easy, though, and so the slightest mistake could be costly. With that said, Pochettino should drop these 2 Tottenham players against Liverpool – agreed?

Serge Aurier

Serge Aurier had a decent game against Real Madrid, but the Frenchman’s moments of madness are causing a bit of anxiety amongst fans.

He has been solid so far this season, but he’s yet to get into his groove, and so perhaps against Liverpool – who are very threatening going forward – Mauricio Pochettino would be better off going for a proven talent like Kieran Trippier.

He’s sure to be Tottenham’s long-term solution, but Poch must introduce him slowly.

Moussa Sissoko

Moussa Sissoko has enjoyed a rebirth at Tottenham this season, but it might be time for him to take his seat on the bench again this weekend.

With Dele Alli back in the fold domestically, the Englishman is certain to start for his club, and that could mean that an attacker will need to miss out. Given how well Fernando Llorente played against Madrid, Sissoko could be the most obvious candidate.

He will surely get on the field, and if he plays it will not be a problem for the club, but based on a meritocracy, Llorente simply has to play.
