The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are anticipating a tough game against Man Utd on Saturday. The Lilywhites have done well over the last few months as Pochettino continues to work his magic at the helm, but their game this weekend is going to be one of their most difficult of the season so far. They’re set to take on Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd on Saturday, which will be a real test of their title credentials ahead of the rest of the campaign.

Like Tottenham, Man Utd have had a decent start to the season, though they did stumble against Huddersfield last weekend. That said, Jose Mourinho will want to make things right this weekend and defeat his title rivals as he looks to send a message to the rest of the Premier League.

As a result, Mauricio Pochettino cannot take this game lightly, and whilst his side enjoyed a good win at Liverpool last week, a few changes could still be needed. He needs to pick the best possible team.

With that said, Pochettino simply must drop these 2 Tottenham players against Man Utd – agreed?

 Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier hasn’t done anything wrong this season, but it’s pretty clear where Pochettino’s loyalties will lie long-term.

Serge Aurier has looked good since moving to London, and he has outshone Trippier whenever he has played.

Now, with Danny Rose back in the fold with a few games under his belt, Pochettino could look to include the Englishman, and that could mean Trippier will fall back to the bench.

He’s had a decent run, and Aurier’s disciplinary record does suggest that Trippier will get games, but against Man Utd, this could be the strongest defensive choice for Pochettino.

 Harry Winks

This is sure to frustrate a few fans, but it might be time for Harry Winks’ spell in the first team to finally come to an end.

Mauricio Pochettino has a very tough game on his hands against Man Utd, and so he’ll want to pick the strongest team possible. Unfortunately for Winks, with Mousa Dembele now back in the fold, the Englishman may not feature in that side.

He has done well in the bigger games, and so if he does start it isn’t likely to be a problem, but the duo of Dembele and Eric Dier could be better suited.
