Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly excited to see what their side can do this Deadline Day with them hoping for a number of deals to be completed.
It has not been the best window for the Blues with them arguably not signing all the players that they would have liked and so it remains to be seen if the club manages to get anyone in today.
Whilst we wait to see what happens in that regard, though, it seems as though some exits could be happening, too, with the latest rumour surrounding Michy Batshuayi and his future.
Indeed, according to footmercato, the Blues’ striker is a target of Everton’s in this window with just hours left to go in a potential deal that few would have seen coming.
For sure, though, with the striker set for another season on the bench and Everton needing a new forward, it would be a deal that makes sense for all involved and so now it remains to be seen if the Toffees and the men from Stamford Bridge can reach a deal.
Landlord’s Verdict
The men from Stamford Bridge are surely going to try something today but they will also be – by the looks of things – having to deal with teams wanting to make deals for their players too.
It remains to be seen what happens with Batshuayi, then, with hours left in this summer’s transfer market.
