It’s fair to say that not many would have predicted Liverpool would still be unbeaten in the Premier League whilst approaching the month of December.
That though, is the current form Liverpool find themselves in and it’s brilliant for fans to witness. Although their front-line hasn’t necessarily reached the heights they did last season, defensively they have been sound and that’s been a massive boost.
Whilst unbeaten and having spent over £150 million in the summer, Liverpool are still looking to improve as they aim to plug the gap between them and Manchester City.
Their method behind that… Bild reported earlier this week that Liverpool are very interested in acquiring the services of the Bundesliga top goalscorer Luka Jovic.
What potential consequences could their be for Liverpool should the pull off such a move…
Daniel Sturridge sold

With the need to accommodate such a talent, it will be Daniel Sturridge who ultimately gets replaced by the 20-year-old.
Despite a revival in the red of Liverpool this season, Sturridge, 29, is just too unpredictable with his fitness and Luka Jovic will undoubtedly be a better option for Liverpool going forward.
Sturridge is out of contract in the summer, with Liverpool probably viewing the January transfer window as the best opportunity to get rid of the Englishman.
Roberto Firmino, watch your back

With 12 goals in 15 appearances this season, Luka Jovic could not only arrive at Anfield to learn from the current players but quickly take their place in the starting line-up, such has been his magnificent form.
Firmino hasn’t been scoring all too frequently this season, which could lead to Jovic quickly becoming the first-choice striker for Liverpool.
