Premier League man reveals he will have talks with Liverpool this summer

With Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern finally celebrating a win over a team outside of the top six, it seems they’ve become increasingly hopeful of finishing in the top four once again, after picking up a much-needed three points against Burnley.

As amazing to watch as the Reds have been at times this season, there are obvious deficiencies within Jurgen Klopp’s squad, with many of our punters frequently discussing exactly what they need over the course of the summer. While debate has raged in that regard for a while now, it seems little are giving loaned out winger Lazar Markovic a chance this summer.

Currently plying his trade with Hull City, the Kopites in the bar have been discussing comments made from the Serbian to Sky Sports. He’s revealed he still hopes for a future on Merseyside, despite spending the majority of his time on the club’s books away on loan.

The former Benfica man cost around £20m in 2015, though has failed to wholly convince and the punters in the bar largely believe he hasn’t got much future under Klopp.

“It’s been two or three years since I came to Liverpool. I’m more mature and I have more experience and that is going to play quite a big role in my development,” he said.

“I see it differently from the coach [his future at Liverpool]. I am still a Liverpool player. We will have talks in the summer and see how it goes from there.”
