Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn would be a great fit for Manchester United, that is according to talkSPORT pundit Alan Brazil.
Is Dean Smith getting the most out of Aston Villa's squad?
The Scottish international has made a tremendous start to the 2019/20 campaign, scoring three times and creating one assist for Villa in the Premier League (via Transfermarkt).
He backed that up on Sunday with his first ever career hat-trick in Scotland’s 6-0 win against San Marino and, speaking on Monday, Brazil admitted that he thinks he would be a good signing for the Red Devils.
Speaking on talkSPORT he said: “McGinn would get the Old Trafford crowd going just with his energy and enthusiasm and his ability.”
This is not the first time that Manchester United have been linked with the former Hibernian man. Indeed, former manager Sir Alex Ferguson is thought to be a huge admirer of the 24-year-old, and may recommend him to United ahead of the January transfer window.
Naturally, Aston Villa supporters do not want the Scot to go anywhere as he has arguably been their top performer on their return to the top flight.
Following Brazil talking up McGinn’s prospects of playing for Manchester United, some Villa fans have had their say with many questioning why he would go to a team which at the moment is really struggling in the Premier League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer…
He is a better fit here at Aston Villa so hands off

Why would McGinn want to go to a team that’s going down. Don’t worry about Villa selling him he won’t go anywhere.
And about the England squad he would be starting every game. Oh my bad. With Rice and Henderson in that midfield, two world class players he wouldn’t get in

I really don’t see why John McGinn would swap from a club on the up, to one drowning in mediocrity. UTV

Without doubt, you are right Alan.
…… that won’t ever happen though
