Dean Smith has boldly predicted that Keinan Davis will be worth £15m by next year, as reported by Football Insider.
They previously reported the Villa manager had blocked a loan move for the 21-year-old, with as many as six clubs aiming to temporarily get his services.
It now seems this is because Smith feels he can help the former England U20 international become a genuine match-winner in the Premier League – which would see his value rise considerably.
The 21-year-old made his first start of the season in the 6-1 Carabao Cup victory against Crewe Alexandra, which also brought his first goal of the campaign, as he converted Jack Grealish’s ball into the box with a first-time finish.
SofaScore gave him a rating of 7.6 for his performance, after he completed 2 dribbles, 3 key passes and 81% of all passes he attempted.
The Birmingham Mail went even higher with their praise, giving the 21-year-old an 8.5, praising his ability yo make the ball stick and bring teammates into play, as well as his work rate.
Given the reasons above, Davis certainly has talent and can become a valuable player for Aston Villa, both in terms of what he does on the pitch and the transfer fee he can command.
The only road bump to his value rising is the fact that he will likely struggle to get into the starting line up regularly, with Wesley currently the main man at Villa Park.
