Tottenham are a team that are improving at a rapid rate, and much of that is down to Mauricio Pochettino’s fine work. He’s built an incredible team in North London, and there are a handful of players that have become invaluable to the Lilywhite’s goals.
Next season, a Premier League title challenge will be expected, and if they’re to have any chance of securing that goal, from the outside it seems clear that Son Heung-min must be a regular next season.
After all, he was simply unbelievable last season. Almost out of nowhere, the South Korean turned into one of their most important players. He offered brilliant pace and technique, and he became a real asset for the Lilywhites moving forward. Even amongst the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, he stood out as one of the most efficient players in the squad. He also developed an uncanny knack for scoring important goals, and he won the Lilywhites more than a few points on his own last season.
That’s what made him so invaluable for the club. He’s a matchwinner, and though Tottenham have some incredible players, they haven’t got many that can genuinely turn a game on its head. Son Heung-min undoubtedly can.
He ended the season with 18 goals and 11 assists, which is a record that is more than comparable to Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen – whom would be his natural competitors in this team.

In truth, Son is undervalued in North London, and next season, Pochettino must continue to utilise him – but this time, he must get even more minutes on the pitch. If they do that, the results could be huge.
