It’s very rare that a player cross Stanley Park directly making the switch from Liverpool to Everton or vice versa, however, Divock Origi could become the 31st player to do so. According to Turkish outlet Aksam.com, Origi could be heading to Everton as the club plan to offload one of either Cenk Tosun or Oumar Niasse in January, with the latter a target for Turkish club Besiktas.

Divock Origi still has a real chance to make it somewhere in football. The Belgian striker is still only 23 and has all of the raw aspects needed to thrive as a top-level striker. He has a yard of pace, he can hold off defenders, can score with both of his feet and his head and he certainly knows where the goal is. Despite all this, his timing at Liverpool has been poor. The ex-Lille man has come in at a time where Jurgen Klopp is looking for finished articles, and he’s a long way off of being that.
At Everton, Origi would be a great fit. He’d have time to develop into the striker that he’s capable of being in a young squad under the tuition of Marco Silva. The Toffees have a strong core of young players who are all looking to make their mark at the top level and Origi would fit in well. After a dire loan spell at Wolfsburg last season, the Belgian will be keen to make up for lost time and what better way to do it than in the Premier League. If he moves to Everton, he wouldn’t even have to relocate either.

This could be a move that benefits everyone involved and at the moment, the Reds would be keen to see Origi taken off their hands.
