Newcastle fans heavily against Hartlepool loan for Elias Sorensen

At times this season, the Newcastle United U21 side has given the fans more to shout about than their senior side. The likes of Jamie Sterry, Sean Longstaff and Elias Sorensen have been tearing it up at youth level, however, a report in The Chronicle claims that Sorensen is a loan target for Conference side, Hartlepool, and the Magpies hate the idea of this loan.

There have been times this season where the fans have been demanding Sorensen gets thrown into the first-team at St James Park as they all believe he has what it takes to score goals and perform at that level. So to hear the news that he’s being linked with Hartlepool, who are a whopping four divisions lower than The Geordies, is a real kick in the teeth as they all know that their young Danish forward is better than that.
It would probably be best for the player and for Newcastle United if they were to keep the 19-year-old at the club where Rafa Benitez can keep a close eye over his development and maybe even give him a chance in the senior side when the FA Cup third round comes around again in January. It will certainly be a long road to becoming a first-team regular but the fans all seem to believe that the youngster has what it takes to do it.
You can read The Magpies’ thoughts on the Sorensen loan rumours here:
Surely he’s not suited for the conference. Seen lads go there and hardly get a kick, end up coming back 2 years behind.

It would ruin him……he would get kicked from pillar to post……surely we can get him a better loan deal than the national league….how about a stint in Scottish Prem ? It has worked for us before

The Geordies feel very strongly about Sorensen’s loan move and will do everything in their power to prevent him from leaving for a league like the conference.
