For the first time in charge of Tottenham Hotspur, Mauricio Pochettino is facing real questions about his management. Indeed, after a late Inter Milan comeback condemned the Argentine to his third loss on the bounce, something is looking seriously off for the North London side.
When you throw in the uncertainty shrouded around the club’s stadium move, after a summer in which they didn’t bring in a single player, it’s not looking all too rosy for the Lillywhites right now.
With that in mind, some of the calls on Twitter following last night’s shocker in the San Siro have been ferocious. As ever with the fickle nature of football fans, some have even been calling for his removal, such is the feeling of discontent brought about by such a poor run.
Indeed, a certain Daniel Levy doesn’t get away with it either, with supporters online fuming about their lack of transfer action over the course of the summer.
As crazy as it sounds, this sort of run doesn’t happen to Tottenham, so it’s new ground for everyone.
Having said that, here’s a look at how Twitter reacted.
