Tottenham Hotspur: Fans don’t want club to sign Marouane Fellaini in January - Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has made contact with Marouane Fellaini over a move to the club in the January transfer window, that is according to a report from Belgian news outlet Les Sports +.

The 32-year-old currently plies his trade in the Chinese Super League with Shandong Luneng, where he has recently helped them to a fifth-place finish (Sky Sports).

Should Spurs sign Marouane Fellaini?

No

He is contracted with them until December 2021 (Transfermarkt), but according to the report, Mourinho is trying to convince the towering midfielder to return to Europe.

The two, of course, know each other well from their time together at Manchester United and the Portuguese is thought to be keen on a reunion.

Whilst Spurs do have the likes of Harry Winks, Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele at their disposal in terms of midfield options, it is thought that Mourinho wants to add another option to his ranks – indeed, they have already been linked with another of his former players in Nemanja Matic (The Sun).

Fellaini would certainly add more strength and power to the team, but it seems that plenty of Tottenham fans would rather they didn’t sign the Belgian.

Here is how some supporters have reacted on Twitter after seeing Fellaini linked…
