Many Wolves fans were delighted with the performance of Adama Traore in their 2-1 win at Bournemouth today, taking to Twitter to sarcastically mock his supposed lack of end product.
The 23-year-old winger, who had to pass a pre-game fitness check before taking his place in the starting line-up, provided the cross from which Raul Jimenez put Nuno Espirito Santo’s team 2-0 ahead after half an hour at the Vitality Stadium (as per BBC).
That was Traore’s third assist in the Premier League this season and his sixth in all competitions, while he now has assists in consecutive games having also set up a goal in the win over Aston Villa earlier this month. [via TransferMarkt]
With two goals and six assists in all competitions, he has already doubled his tallies for both metrics from the whole of last season, during which he publicly admitted that he was unhappy with his end product, as per The Guardian.
Following his assist against Bournemouth today, these Wolves fans on Twitter took a lot of pleasure in pouring scorn on previous criticism of his perceived lack of productivity:
No end product that Adama 😂😂

Can't wait to see what Adama looks like when he gets an end product and stops being overrated
