The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to regain their Premier League crown. Jose Mourinho is the man tasked with bringing glory back to Old Trafford, and whilst he’s made progress, he’s still some way off achieving his goals.
It’s a process, though, and he will recognise that. The Red Devils are, clearly, improving, and it’s a matter of time until their rebuilding process is complete.
Perhaps the easiest way of improving the quality of a team is by signing of top tierr players, and the Red Devils have done a lot of that over the years. However, signing a few more would certainly help, and they would struggle to do better than Juventus star Paulo Dybala, who is rated at £99 million by Transfer Markt.
Man Utd’s attack is full of quality and talent, but they’re lacking a number 10 possessing incredible quality. Their best attackers, like Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford, are best used out wide, and Juan Mata hasn’t been at his best for a while. Dybala, then, would find a nice niche in this team.
Typically best used behind a forward, Dybala would be able to pull the strings for the Red Devils, making use of his brilliant movement, pace and passing to devastating effect. In fact, at Juventus, much of what they do going forward goes through the Argentine, and it would be a similar situation at Old Trafford.
He’s not just a creator though. His goal record over the years speaks for itself, having bagged 22 league goals last season, and so he’d be deadly alongside Romelu Lukaku too.
Man Utd have made steps this summer to improve their team, but another landmark signing could propel them up the table. A signing like Dybala would be just the ticket.
