Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern simply cannot wait to see their club back in the Premier League next season as they feel it is where they belong.
It’s been a tough year in the Championship for the Magpies but it has certainly been one that they can be proud of as they have managed to bounce back at the first time of asking.
Indeed, they can win the title this weekend if they win and Brighton slip up against Aston Villa whilst they will also certainly need to strengthen their squad in the summer.
The Magpies will undoubtedly bring in players and, as per Mark Douglas on Twitter, it appears that they could do with signings that boost the club’s average age:
NUFC average starting age is 25.4. Average starting XI in PL is around 27. I’d say they need a bit more experience.

Certainly, experience in the Premier League counts for a lot and Rafa Benitez might be tempted to act on that.
