Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern really can’t wait to see their side finish this season with them looking good for promotion back to the Premier League.
The Magpies are currently a point clear in this season’s title race in the second tier and certainly have the squad and manager to handle the pressures the run-in will throw at them.
Indeed, the men from the north-east have the best squad of all the sides in the Championship and so to not come up would be a real shock.
It’s all about management between now and the curtain call, then, whilst it looks like one man will not be part of things for much longer – Haris Vuckic.
Indeed, prominent journalist Chris Waugh has confirmed on Twitter today that the midfielder is in the Netherlands for a trial with FC Twente and should that go well, a deal could be in the offing:
