Steven Gerrard will currently be preparing for Glasgow Rangers’ match against their fierce city rivals this Saturday. The Gers have now released a statement on the gaffer’s recent comments about Alfredo Morelos, ahead of what is sure to be a busy day for the Colombian.
The importance of this match against Celtic cannot be underestimated. The Gers have had a fantastic start to the season, winning 11 and drawing two of their first 13 matches, but this match against the Premiership champions could determine whether they can really push for the title this term.

There has been some good news, of sorts, for Gerrard in the build-up. After the 4-0 win against Dundee United, Gerrard was charged by the SFA following comments he made about a tackle on Morelos. Now, it has been revealed that he will receive no punishment for his words.
In retaliation to the verdict, Rangers‘ official Twitter account shared a statement. They said they weren’t surprised by the outcome, but they were still bemused the case went as far as it did.

The statement attracted plenty of attention from the supporters, with many taking the opportunity to have a go at the governing body. They took to the social media platform to do so.

The SFA are useless and hate the very existence of rangers, this trumped up charge was laughable… What I want to know is what individuals brought the charge in the first place and why.
