Rangers: Fans discuss Nikica Jelavic

Glasgow Rangers fans have been discussing Nikica Jelavic after the club’s official Twitter account shared a video of him scoring against Dunfermline.
The former Croatia international signed for £4m from Rapid Vienna in 2010, and would end up spending only 18 months with the 54-time Scottish champions. However, his spell at Ibrox was a lucrative one – in just 56 games, he scored 36 goals, also managing 15 assists, and he won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup during the 2010/11 campaign.
He was sold to Everton in January 2012 as the Gers struggled financially, and he is actually still playing in his homeland with NK Lokomotiva Zagreb. The Gers shared the clip of him scoring as part of their Goal of the Day series, and it allowed the club’s supporters to reminisce about the striker.
Would you take Nikica Jelavic back at Ibrox?

I remember being raging that Aluko dived that day.
The naive age of 17 where football purism mattered.I wish we dived for every penalty won now.

Surely this goal of the day is just to wind them up?

What a player Jelavic was for us! Imagine if he stayed, the goals he would’ve brought with him

I remember the English lads telling me he’s only good in Scottish league and wouldn’t make it down south……
And yet again they where wrong 🙂
Gutted we sold him but enjoyed his time with us.
