Kamara has become one of the key players for Rangers this season as Steven Gerrard’s side sit top of the Scottish Premiership. The 25-year-old’s form over the last 12 months has seen him linked with a number of clubs, including Burnley, Newcastle United, Sheffield United and Brighton, per TEAMtalk.
The Finland international has 21 caps for his country and it is reported by TEAMtalk that Rangers officials are ready to fend off the aforementioned interest by offering him a new deal, something the midfielder is said to be keen to agree.
Leeds among wide pool of clubs who want Glen Kamara
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have had an impressive start to the Premier League season and it is now reported that they have watched Kamara closely during his last few performances for the Scottish side. Leeds are said to have joined Everton, Southampton, Monaco, Lille and Borussia Dortmund in scouting the former Arsenal youngster of late.
Bielsa was one of the most active managers in the Premier League last season, spending just under the £100m mark.
What praise has Kamara earned of late and would he be a good fit for Leeds?
Kamara’s form has been splendid of late and he has earned praise of a number of pundits, including Rangers manager Gerrard and former ‘Gers defender Alan Hutton, who said that he is ‘playing at such a high level’ with his recent performances.
The midfielder could be a good fit for Leeds and potentially a key backup for Kalvin Phillips, should the England international need a rest or even leave the club amid interest from Tottenham.
